About Me

While my approach is often infused with healthy doses of irreverence and humor, I am at once soulful and in relentless pursuit of healing. Life can get really challenging at times, and sometimes a look back is really important in order to find the way forward. I want to encourage deep healing in your life. I don’t believe in the band-aid approach.

Tony DelmedicoI have been married, divorced, and re-partnered. I have parented biological children and children in a blended family. I have experience as a traditional father, an at-home father, a single parent, and a co-parent in a blended family. Prior to becoming a therapist, I have had careers in the corporate and financial sectors, as an entrepreneur, and as a teacher and baseball coach.

I am licensed in North Carolina as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and am also an AAMFT-approved Supervisor for therapists in training. I have a master’s degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Depth Psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from St. Edward’s University.

I use a Depth Psychological approach in my therapy sessions. This refers to working with what is below the surface of behaviors, conflicts, relationship dynamics, thoughts, feelings, images, and dreams. While focusing on current challenges, we also address the underlying causes. My approach honors the spirit and tends the soul. I work with individuals and couples to reduce psychological suffering and improve relationships.
